You can use another method to display a PIP at any time:

  • Add a Timeline 2 called PiP
  • Go back to the Timeline 1, click on the PiP layer and copy (Ctrl+C)
  • Go to the Timeline 2 and paste (Ctrl+V)
  • We can now remove the PiP layer from the Timeline 1
    The PIP can now be launched at any time over Timeline 1, completely independently.

To make it really standalone, we add a pause before the end of the PiP layer, and at the end we add a STOP on the command layer to go back to 00:00:00

With this trick each time we play the Timeline 2 PiP we launch or kill the PiP layer :
