There are two ways to use the Presets we have created in your projections study documents:
- Exporting presets as PNG images
- Using presets in the Book Designer
Exporting images
While in the preset Free Camera click on the button in the
3D Viewer
panel.
Untick the Draw projector beams option and set a file path for your export.
Click on the Render
button.
Once the image is exported, your default image viewer will open and display the exported view.
Notice that the image is exported in PNG format with a transparent background, ready to be re-used in any document.
There are several different view types that can be exported. You can find more information in the dedicated manual page.
Using the Book Designer
Open the Book Designer
panel.
In the bottom left, click on the button and select Book to create a new book.
From the toolbox on the right, drag & drop a Preview element on the page.
By default, the preview element will automatically be set to the currently active preset in the currently active 3D Scene when created.
Add another Preview element on the page, and on this second element, in the Editor
panel, set the Preset to Projectors.
This is why naming your presets with comprehensive names helps a lot when creating projection studies using Kinetic’s 3D tools.
When completed, books can be exported to PDF format by right clicking on the book in the Hierarchy tab on the right and selecting the Export option.
