Adding basic showcontrol

We’ll create 3 tasks to launch each sequence of the show properly.

Open the Tasks panel and create a new task with the button.

Rename the task GO Castle 1.

From the Timelines list panel, drag and drop the SHOW timeline 3 times in the task.

Alternatively, you may drag & drop it once and then copy/paste it twice.

Select the first and third subtask and in the Editor panel set the Action to GrandMaster Value.

Select only the first subtask and set the Duration to 00:00:02:00. Leave the default Value at 0.

Copy this timecode value as we will use it again in the next steps.

Set the Wait time of the second subtask to 2 seconds.

Select the second subtask and set the Action to Play at time. Leave the default Value of 00:00:00:00.

Select the third subtask and set the Value at 100 and the Duration to 2 seconds.

Launch the task and check that it properly launches the first sequence.

Copy and paste this task twice and rename the other tasks GO Castle 2 and Go Castle 3.

It is good practice to color code elements. Feel free to chose three different colors for your three tasks.

Select one of the two layers composing sequence 2 and use the keyboard hotkey I to set the locator at the in point of the media.

Select the timecode in the Timeline panel and copy it.

In the second task, change the second subtask’s Value to Play at time and paste the copied timecode.

Repeat these steps for the third sequence.

It is good practice to immediately test your tasks to check they work properly, and fix any setting in the showcontrol that might require tweaking.
