In this last exercise, we’ll apply what we have learnt on X-Maps with an architectural building and discover the 3D Engine available in Kinetic Designer.



We will learn to:

  • Do a projection study in Kinetic Designer
  • Apply a manual warping of X-Maps to architectural structures
  • Import a 3D model and set up a 3D scene
  • Automatically compute the position of a projector in the 3D scene
  • Play a show using the 3D scene and several render surfaces
  • Use a Calendar device to trigger a task

Required equipment:

  • 1x pico projector
  • 1x mapping box
  • 1x castle kit
  • Media kit (incl. 3D model of the castle) and PSD template file

Place the castle in the mapping Box and ensure the projection fully covers it.
