Project Folder and media

In Windows Explorer, create a project folder with the proper subfolder hierarchy.

Copy the media from the media kit into the proper subfolder and start Kinetic Designer.

Create a new show and save it to your project folder.

Import the media into the Media List panel.

Framerate

The display framerate of Kinetic Designer’s timecodes is independent of the media’s framerate (set when the media is encoded) and of the framerate of the server’s outputs (set when forcing the EDIDs on the output).

To ensure the best results we recommend always working with the same framerate in your media and on the server’s outputs.

The display framerate of Kinetic Designer’s timecodes can be adjusted in the Preferences.

From the top menu, open Edit > Preferences and in the Interface tab set the framerate to 30.00 fps.
