To check if you have the proper drivers for your deltacast card(s):

From the VNodes top menu, open the Remote Settings and open the Deltacast tab.

Deltacast tab of the VNode Remote settings window

This tab lists all available Deltacast live capture cards properly installed on your system.

Check that all the cards physically present on your server are present in this tab.

To ensure good performance, check that the value for the fields PCIe and Lane are in green. If some values are not in green or if you have any issues, please contact the support team.

If you are experiencing slower than usual performances, you can check here that the board temperature is reasonable. In our experience however, the Deltacast capture cards operate properly even at high temperatures.

Driver update

From this panel you can install or update the Deltacast driver.

To launch the update process click on the button Update driver.

A pop-up window may appear asking to allow a non-certified driver. If your server is set to a multiscreen setup, make sure to check all screens.

Please wait until the installation is fully finished before powering off or rebooting the server. Sometimes, the driver also updates the firmware of the capture card before completing its installation.

In most cases, if a reboot is required it will be triggered automatically at the end of the installation procedure and should not bet triggered manually.

Rebooting the server while the card’s firmware is updating may leave it in an unstable state !

Troubleshooting

Driver/DLL mismatch

If you see a warning with “Driver/DLL mismatch” instead of the card list, launch the update procedure to fix the problem.

Once the update procedure is complete, all your cards should appear properly as in the screenshot above.

Manual installation

If you need to do a manual installation or are instructed so by our support team:

  • Open the Windows Device manager
  • Click on the Deltacast item in the list (or multimedia uninstalled item)
  • Select manual installation
  • Point to the proper driver located in C:\Program Files\Modulo KineticDesigner\drivers
