Glow

Description

This node simulates a glow on color-targeted parts of the image.

Properties

Global

• Threshold : Set the color to evaluate on which part of the image the effect should apply.
  Default : Gray 191 / 191 / 191 / 255

• Tolerance Color : Affects the tolerance of the extraction on the color set as threshold. Values by default are between 0 and 2.
  Default : 1.0

• Blur Quality : Affects the quality of the blur. Low values produce artifacts on the image and should be avoided. Values >5 give good results.
  Default : 4.0

• Blur Size : Affects the size of the blur. Higher values give more blur. Values close to 0 turn off the blur, but not the effect.
  Default : 8.0

• Blur Direction : Affects a rotation given to the image to produce the blur. Values close to 0 turn off the blur, but not the effect. Values around 10 give good results.
  Default : 16.0

• Blur Intensity : Affects the intensity of the effect. Values close to 0 turn off the effect. Values above 1 produce visual artifacts and should be avoided. This is typically a good property to animate to give life to the glow effect.
  Default : 1.0

*You can unfold and set Min/Max values for all the above properties, however, defaults have been set that generally constrain the values in between default Min/Max values that are proven to work well for this effect.

Options

• Image Base : Toggle to override the effect and visualise the base image.
  Default : OFF

• Debug Extract : Toggle to override the effect and visualise which part of the image is affected by the extraction.
  Default : OFF

• Debug Blur : Toggle to override the effect and visualise only the blur being applied (without the base image).
  Default : OFF
