Import/Export of V-Node geometry

From Kinetic Designer v6.1.5 and onwards the geometry of the V-Nodes can be exported and imported between projects.

This is useful when designing multiple projects to run on the same Designer/V-Node setup.

We strongly recommend first creating a Master project in which only the V-Node setup and its geometry will be set.

Once the geometry for your setup is finished, use the Export… function on this project to export the saved geometry to a .vno file.

Create your different project folders and in the shows created use the Import… function to import the geometry from the Master project.

This will ensure that all the UUIDs referencing your V-Nodes, Outputs, and X-Maps remain the same between your Master Project and your other projects.

Whenever your geometry requires changes, the changes can be brought to the Master Project and a new Export… can be made.

This new .vno file can then be imported into the other projects to reflect the changes to geometry.
