Sources Creation

Creation of NDI Live sources, counter and text

NDI can be used as either inputs or ouputs in Kinetic Designer.

Add NDI feeds

We will assume that 4 NDI streams are currently available on your network.

  • Go to the Media list tab.
  • Click on the + button, and select +NDI.
  • Select the NDI media that was created and in the Editor panel select the Search... next to the Source and choose the NDI stream to use in the streams list.
  • You can also change the name here.
  • Repeat this operation 3 more times to add the 4 NDI sources available on the network.

Add a Counter

  • In the Media list tab, click on + and select +Timecode
  • In the Editor panel, name it Speaker countdown
  • Set the Type to Out Countdown
  • Set the Display Mode to HH:MM:SS
  • In the Media list tab, click on + and select +Text
  • In the Editor panel, name it Time left and add the text TIME LEFT and set the Font Size to 20

We will use this Counter to display the time left on the speaker’s screen.
