The first step in setting up the Mixer is to create one or several destination(s).
Creating Destinations
For our setup we will create the following 3 destinations :
- Main screen: 3456×1080
- Reminder screens: 1920×1080
- Confidence monitor: 1920×1080
In Kinetic Designer, open the Mixer
panel and in the Destinations
tab click on the +Dest.
button to add a Destination.
Select the Destination and in the Editor
panel change the name and size of the Destination.
Repeat this process for the other two destinations.
Displaying destinations
Destinations need to be placed in a Timeline in order to be displayed on a V-Node.
It is good practice to have a dedicated Timeline to display the Destinations.
Create a new Timeline, name it MIXER and assign it a color
Drag & drop the three Destinations into the Timeline and position them according to their respective outputs:
Destination | Position |
---|---|
Main screen | x = 0 |
Reminder screens | x = 3840 |
Confidence monitor | x = 5760 |
Live Mixer application
Now that the Destinations are created and instantiated in a timeline, we are ready to work with Modulo Mixer.
Open the Live Mixer and connect to the IP Address of your Kinetic Designer.
Note that if you are running the Live Mixer on the same computer as the Kinetic Designer you may also use the default loopback IP 127.0.0.1
Divide the Preview into 3 zones, one for each destination.
Drag & drop the previously created destinations in these zones.
Use the dedicated button to copy the created layout into the Program section
