The Leap Motion Controller is a small and lightweight sensor designed by UltraLeap to track hand and finger movements using a built-in infrared camera.

It can detect hand and finger movements up to 110cm from the device (Leap Motion Controller 2), with an optimal range between 10 and 90cm and connects to the setup via USB.

Open hand Triggers the task if a user has his hand open over the sensor at a certain grab angle
Closed hand Triggers the task if a user has his hand closed over the sensor
Pinch Triggers the task if a user pinches with his fingers
